What is Grubhub?

Grubhub is an online food ordering and delivery platform. For that, they need drivers to deliver orders from restaurants to customer addresses.

Grubhub was founded in 2004 and operates in all states in the US. Grubhub's headquarters are located in Chicago, Illinois.

You can start earning money by becoming a Grubhub delivery driver. Your job is to deliver customer food orders from the restaurant they choose, to the delivery address listed on the Grubhub driver app.

Before you accept the job, customers first make an order to the restaurant they choose through the customer's Grubhub app. Grubhub will locate a driver to take the food out of the restaurant and deliver it to the customer's address.

You don't have to be an expert to find the delivery location. You will be guided to their doorstep, using the GPS on the driver app.

How long does the Grubhub driver registration process take?

Grubhub's driver registration process generally takes between 3-10 business days, depending on various factors including:

• Completeness of uploaded documents.

• Document verification time by the Grubhub team.

• Availability of driver slots in the registration area.

• Account activation process.

Registration time stages:

• Filling out the online registration form (10-30 minutes).
• Uploading required documents (10-30 minutes).
• Document verification (2-5 business days).
• Account activation (1-2 business days).

• You must be at least 18 years of age. (Please Note : For Las Vegas and Nevada, applicants must be 21 years of age or older).

Vehicle Requirements for Grubhub

You have the option to use a car, motorbike or bicycle. Complete what is required as additional vehicle information. 

If you wish to be a Grubhub driver partner with your car:

• 2 doors or 4 doors. 

• Driving license is still valid.

(Age 18 years: minimum 1 year valid license)  

(Age 19 years: minimum 2 year valid license) 

• Have car insurance

If you wish to be a Grubhub driver partner with your bicycle:

• Original, valid state ID.
• Original, valid state driver's license.
• Original, valid passport (US or Global).

How to apply for grubhub driver

Please take a moment. To become a Grubhub driver, either use the website or download the driver app from either Google Play or App store.

Step 1: Sign up and submit your application

• Go to the Grubhub website. (Tap here)

• On the main screen, you will see the registration form.

• Select a state.
• Select a city.
• Tap 'next'.
• First name.
• Last name.
• Email.
• Mobile number.
• Review and accept the 'Grubhub driver terms'.
• Tap 'next'.

You will be instructed to download the driver app. Select a download on iOS or google play.

Next step, Complete the registration in the app. Select 'sign up to deliver' when the app opens.

Fill in all the required registration information. Upload documents such as driver's license, ID card and vehicle insurance. Tap submit.

Grubhub will send you a PIN by text message to your mobile phone. The driver's app requires you to confirm your PIN every time you log in.

Step 2: Complete the survey

There are 6 questions on Grubhub regarding driver requirements. Make sure to answer correctly and complete the task.

After completing the survey, Grubhub will send a confirmation email and continue with the registration process to the next stage.

Step 3: Background Check

To ensure that you comply with driving rules, Grubhub will conduct a background check on your driver's license.

Grubhub takes a few days to check. You will receive information when it is complete. If your driver's background is good, you will proceed to the next stage of registration.

Step 4: Onboarding Process 

The last stage is an orientation session. Complete the tasks. Once that's done, Grubhub will give you instructions on how to obtain a uniform and a delivery bag. That you need when working on delivering orders.

Grubhub driver registration is complete.

Once you're approved as a Grubhub driver, you'll receive an email notification.

The registration process can take a few days, depending on the driver needs in the state where you are applying.

Step 5: Choose how Grubhub pays

Your earnings will be deposited into the driver's account. Choose your method to withdraw the deposit.

If you choose direct deposit, Grubhub will send it directly to your account every Thursday.

If you choose instant cash out, you have the option to withdraw cash above $500 days.

Step 6: Set up your account and details

Then, set a password on the driver's account. Make sure to add your personal information, such as a professional photo, to the profile.

Step 7: Set your working hours

Set your work schedule. How many hours a day and how many days a week. To set it, tap 'taking offers' in the bottom corner of the main screen.
